Netcore hunts for partners

Mumbai, April 21, 2005
Netcore Solutions, promoted by Rajesh Jain of Indiaworld is looking for channel partners for its Emergic Cleanmail, a managed e-mail security service.
Cleanmail, targeted at both SMBs and large customers operates in a different fashion from the usual anti-virus, anti-spam solutions. It monitors and filters e-mail traffic (triple level scanning) to protect an organization from virus attacks, spam mails and wasted bandwidth at the Internet level, instead of network or desktop level. It provides virus-free and spam-free mail. The pricing for Cleanmail starts at Rs 750 per user per year for 25 users with 24X7 e-mail/chat support and five-day data backup in case of an infection or outbreak.
Explaining the reason behind going for channels when most companies are looking at bypassing it to directly reach customers, Kalpit Jain, head, (messaging and security), Netcore said, ?Earlier we were selling our products through our direct sales team primarily in Mumbai. But now we want to expand our market presence and hence have decided to go the channels way.?
Netcore has already appointed 60 resellers nationally and 20 partners internationally. Jain added that they were expecting to tie-up with about 400 resellers nationally and 100 partners internationally by the year-end and might appoint regional or national distributors later depending on the partner feedback.
?We are primarily looking at corporate resellers /VARs and will provide all the necessary technical and marketing support. The biggest advantage for them is that they don?t need to make any upfront investment and just utilize their existing partnerships to gain additional profits,? said Jain.
He also added that partners can later offer all Netcore products like Emergic MailServ - infrastructure server, Pragatee small business server, Emergic Topsight - information management server, Emergic Freedom desktop client.
